Plus they are the dodgers, they always find a way to implode. Just wait until Torre's next book comes out in August about Manny. Torre is so hollywood now, what a fraud!

I think every team in this division has a legitimate shot since they are all relying on Youth.JPadrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01588886779486853599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8308814967611371361.post-71007614500986302552009-02-23T22:23:00.000-06:002009-02-23T22:23:00.000-06:00See what I mean, Mark? Can the Diamondback youngsters actually get somewhere near their ceiling? Which Rockies are they? At least, we know the Padres are gonna suck (as soon as I say that, I wouldn't be too surprised to see the Padres take the division).tHeMARksMiThhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16445834941960575715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8308814967611371361.post-28305020280328701252009-02-23T13:55:00.000-06:002009-02-23T13:55:00.000-06:00It's funny, Mark. I'm a fan of the Dodgers from afar (meaning, I always hope they do well, but I don't follow them super-closely), but where I really get all of my Dodgers knowledge is from two people: my brother, a die-hard Dodger fan, and my buddy, a die-hard Giants fan. Basically, I hear some overly optimistic views of the Dodgers and some overly pessimistic/negative views. Somehow, I have to find the truth in the middle. And my commentary above is pretty much where you'll find me: the Dodgers have some issues, especially considering their much-too-young pitching, but, in the weak NL West, it'll probably be enough. I know the Dbacks are hanging around, and that the Giants will be able to compete much more this year because of their superb pitching, but I still think the Dodgers are the most likely candidates. Will it happen? who knows, but I can't really convince myself of anyone in the West taking control, so I have to stick with the Dodgers for now. I reserve the right to change that thought anytime before the season starts, of course...larhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17314820003835656973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8308814967611371361.post-80700212354933154782009-02-23T12:18:00.000-06:002009-02-23T12:18:00.000-06:00I don't like the Dodgers much. That forces the others to move up a few spots. But if they get Manny back (and the longer this goes on, the more I think Manny is going to up and quit for half of a season), they are a much tougher team. That being said, I don't really see any of the other teams being as good as the Diamondbacks, and I don't think they're getting enough credit right now.tHeMARksMiThhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16445834941960575715noreply@blogger.com
